Jelena Višnjić, Ph.D., gender studies (University of Novi Sad), is one of the founders and the director of BeFem feminist cultural centre. She is the coordinator of the Feminist Media Culture: Production of Gender Program and a lecturer at the Centre for Women’s Studies in Belgrade and an activist of the feminist movement. Since February 2021, with a team of colleagues, she has been leading the one-semester course Politics of Representation: Gender Media Violence at the Faculty of Media and Communications in Belgrade.
