Lana Bastašić is a Yugoslav-born writer, novelist and a translator. She published three collections of short stories, which have been included in regional anthologies and magazines, and have won numerous awards throughout the former Yugoslavia. Her latest collection of short stories “Mliječni zubi” is available in German under the title Mann im Mond (2023). Her debut novel “Uhvati zeca” (Fang den Hasen 2020) was shortlisted for the 2019 NIN Award, nominated for the 2022 Dublin Literary Award and furthermore was awarded the European Union Prize for Literature in 2020. Lana Bastašić is one of the fellows of the Berliner Künstlerprogramm des DAAD for 2023, and resides in Berlin, where she is writing her new novel.
